About: Rafael Gonzalez owns and operates Magallanes Fly Fishing. My company is a specialist fishing outfitter based in Southern Chilean Patagonia. 

For over 20 years we’ve had extensive experience in hosting anglers of all ages and abilities at the southern tip of the world

We offer fully customized angling packages in the region from one day angling experience trips to heli-fishing adventures in the Cape Horn region.

Magallanes Fly Fishing has access to a huge range of lakes, rivers, spring creeks and freestone rivers and can target a large selection of species including brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, king salmon and sea run brown trout 

We are a full service fishing business that can supply all fishing gear for your trip including tackle and performance clothing.

We work in partnership with leading outdoor brands such as LOOP from Sweden, Fishpond and Patagonia. We use only high performance tackle and clothing to maximize our clients” time and enjoyment on the water.  The option to use our tackle and clothing also permits our clients to travel with a lot less luggage.

Placing the highest priority on both enjoyment and safety of our clients is very important to us. For this reason we are the only fly fishing company with an Aerorescate (air rescue) program in the region.

We can also host non-fishing partners and can arrange a selection of activities including horseback riding, whale-watching and scenic helicopter flights over our mountain and glacier ranges
